Athelstaneford is an ancient hamlet lying amongst some of East Lothian's prettiest countryside, 6 miles inland from North Berwick.
This village is famous as the birthplace of Scotland's national flag, the Saltire or St. Andrew's Cross.

North Berwick is a popular holiday town home to the Scottish Seabird Centre and situated on the coast some 23 miles from Edinburgh.
There are some 18 golf courses within a 20-minute drive of North Berwick including the famous Muirfield course in Gullane. There are many castles, ruins, museums and places of interest to visit in East Lothian all reached by quiet country roads through stunning countryside. North Berwick and nearby Dunbar boast the highest number of hours of sunshine annually in Scotland.
